Project Engineer - Solar Energy

As an Electrical Project Engineer specializing in solar energy, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing solar PV systems, overseeing installations, and collaborating with clients to meet their energy needs. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and optimizing solar PV systems, encompassing on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid configurations on both DC and AC sides. - Overseeing the installation and commissioning of solar projects to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with design standards. - Assisting in system design, sourcing components, and procurement activities with a focus on cost-efficiency and quality. - Collaborating with clients to understand their energy requirements and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle. - Conducting site surveys, preparing data-driven designs and reports, and maintaining documentation to analyze performance and ensure compliance with industry standards and electrical codes. - Creating accurate and efficient solar photovoltaic (PV) system designs, such as single line diagrams, site layouts, and equipment specifications, utilizing AutoCAD and other relevant software. - Developing comprehensive technical documentation, including project proposals, system schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOM). Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or Diploma in electrical or related field. - 2+ years of relevant experience in solar or electrical projects. - On-site experience. - Proficiency in tools like Excel, AutoCAD, MATLAB, etc. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Additionally, the job requires a willingness to travel up to 75% of the time and the ability to commute or relocate to Ulsoor, Bengaluru, Karnataka. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires in-person work.
