Project Engineer

In this role, your responsible to provide engineering and technological support, as well as sales support to the sales team for systems to reach the overall target in growing the Electric automation business.

Your Responsibilities:

• Interpret customers RFQs and project specifications to prepare techno-commercial proposals in a timely manner.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and sub-vendors to provide a complete and competitive technical solution.
• Manage and request quotations from sub-vendors and liaise with them to ensure accurate and timely responses.
• Propose alternative methods and equipment to achieve cost efficiency.
• Handle concept visualization and application preparation, including component selection and preparation of the BOM.
• Select third-party standard materials such as energy chains, servo gearboxes, and electric actuators (ball screw/belt types), perform technical comparisons, and support price negotiations.
• Prepare project offers using proposal templates and coordinate with design and assembly teams for smooth execution.
• Conduct feasibility studies based on sales or customer requests.
• Maintain reports related to quotations and offers made.
• Support trials and testing of electric and pneumatic assemblies as required.
• Visit customers when necessary to understand applications or provide commissioning support.
• Coordinate between the quotation, design, and assembly teams to ensure timely completion of projects.

Our Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with a background in design, application engineering, sales, back-office, or technical support.
• Experience in electric drives, pneumatic drives, and handling systems is required.
• Strong fundamental engineering knowledge in design, component/material selection, theory of machines, torque, speed, stress and strain calculations, engineering analysis, material weight and volume calculations, and cost estimation for custom-designed brackets, housings, and fabricated parts.
• Knowledge and experience with Festo products, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software is an added advantage.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in the factory automation industry.
• Ability to effectively coordinate with co-workers to ensure task completion under all circumstances.
• Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
