Job Description: DCS Engineer – Process Automation (Energy Industries)Location: Bangalore, India Work Model: Onsite Your Role and Responsibilities: As a DCS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing Distributed Control System (DCS) engineering activities for service projects of low to medium complexity. This role demands strict adherence to standard work instructions, quality benchmarks, and safety guidelines while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be part of the Process Automation business unit under the Energy Industries division, contributing to project execution and customer success. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures for DCS projects. Prepare proposals and presentations for service engineering projects and programs. Gather and analyze customer requirements, document existing processes, and design future-state process integrations in collaboration with business stakeholders. Develop work plans, cost estimates, and ensure delivery of high-quality outputs within time and budget constraints. Perform risk and opportunity assessments and execute mitigation or enhancement plans within your area of responsibility. Provide technical support for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). Understand and manage the complete project life cycle, including deliverables at each stage. Collaborate with customers across different geographies and multicultural environments. Qualifications and Skills:Education: Full-time Engineering Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, or a related field. Experience: 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Process Automation or Safety Systems, focusing on: Application engineering HMI development Third-party communication interfaces FAT and SAT activities Process industries such as Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals Strong technical knowledge of Process/ICSS and Safety Systems, including: Fire & Gas Protection Systems Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) Familiarity with safety standards like IEC 61508, IEC 61511, and NORSOK. Experience in brownfield projects such as DCS modifications, retrofits, upgrades, services, and commissioning. Knowledge of third-party communication protocols such as MODBUS, OPC, etc. Why Join Us?
