Project Development Manager

Key Skills: Wind/hybrid energy projects, Project Planning, Project Management, Site suitability assessment, Permits and Regulatory Affairs, Project Commercials, Stakeholder Management Roles and Responsibilities: Planning of Development Projects & Strategy Coordinate the end-to-end development process for renewable energy projects, including site selection, feasibility studies, and permitting Coordinate for the execution of land development contracts and monitoring of overall development schedule Negotiate land leases, easements, and agreements with landowners and local authorities as needed Track the progress of development sites by coordinating with ground team Regulatory & Permitting Compliance Ensure on-time applications for connectivity and other nodal state applications related to development of projects Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and obtain all necessary permits and approvals Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to manage environmental assessments, zoning, interconnection, and other permitting processes Evaluate potential cost-saving measures without compromising quality, safety, or compliance Develop and Work on Project Review and Development Presentations Create comprehensive presentations for project reviews and development updates Ensure presentations effectively communicate project status, issues, and progress Lead development review presentations, ensuring they meet management requirement Overview and Manage Development Budget Plan, manage and track the development cash flow for all projects Ensure proper follow-up and processing of payments to the contractors Ensure timely inputs on project budgeting Cross-functional Coordination Coordinate with CFTs as per requirement Highlight early flags to team in case of any issue / escalation Skills Required: 8-10 years of experience in Project Development roles within renewable energy or power sector Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and project development life cycles, including site assessment, permitting, and financing Experience working with regulatory agencies and knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting requirements Strong communication, presentation & interpersonal skills Experience of working on MS Excel, Power BI Education: Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering
