As a part of the Commercial Data Office (CoDO) team in Global Commercial Services (GCS), your focus will be on leveraging data to drive exceptional customer experiences and business growth. CoDO is instrumental in enhancing GCS strategy amidst evolving regulatory landscapes and ongoing data utilization innovations. Collaborating with teams across American Express, CoDO is entrusted with designing innovative data solutions for customers while upholding regulatory compliance and data management best practices. The Analyst, Process & Controls position is pivotal in supporting Data Risk Management requirements for Commercial Data Office and Global Commercial Services. Your responsibilities will include analyzing key control measures, developing reports, and monitoring outcomes. Reporting to the Manager, Process & Controls within CoDO, you will assist in transitioning processes and measurements to the new Enterprise Operational Risk Management framework, provide analysis and support for CoDO team members in aligning with data risk policies, contribute to the development of new control measures and monitoring reports, offer extensive support to stakeholders in compliance activities, ensure GCS complies with AXP defined Control Metrics, identify specific risks within business processes and systems, categorize controls, and maintain comprehensive documentation. Adherence to ad hoc compliance & risk management initiative SLAs is also a critical aspect of this role. **Responsibilities:** - Support transition of processes and measurements to new Enterprise Operational Risk Management framework. - Provide analysis and support for CoDO team members in adherence to data risk policies. - Assist in the development of new control measures and monitoring reports. - Provide extensive support to stakeholders through various compliance activities and ensure GCS is within threshold for AXP defined Control Metrics. - Assist in identifying specific risks throughout business processes and systems. - Categorize controls and map against risks and processes (e.g., process-control mapping). - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation. - Adhere to ad hoc compliance & risk management initiative SLAs. **Minimum Qualifications:** - **Academic Background:** Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or an equivalent field. - **Functional Skills/Capabilities:** Strong attention to detail, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills, effective communication, multi-tasking abilities, critical thinking. - **Technical Skills/Capabilities:** Strong experience in MS Office and collaboration tools (Confluence, Jira, Rally). **Preferred Qualifications:** - Tableau and other analytic tools knowledge are preferred.
