Position: Programme Officer – SamjhoToh Programme
Organization: Aim for the Awareness of Society (AAS)
Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh (with travel to Odisha, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh)

About the Programme
SamjhoToh is a youth leadership journey that nurtures empathy, dialogue, and fraternity among adolescents and young people. It is a unique youth-led initiative designed to deepen the understanding and practice of constitutional values, fraternity, love, and harmony in an increasingly polarized world. The programme promotes youth-centric development and civic engagement through reflective conversations, shared experiences, and community action.
Curated by ComMutiny – The Youth Collective (CYC), SamjhoToh is implemented across Odisha, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh through 27 partner organizations. Each partner hosts one or two trained facilitators who engage batches of 35–40 adolescents and youth in a one-year transformative journey.
Aim for the Awareness of Society (AAS) serves as the implementing hub, providing strategic coordination, capacity building, and programmatic support to ensure impactful execution across programme locations.

Position Overview
The Programme Officer will coordinate field implementation, mentor facilitators, and support the programme journey across three states. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with strong facilitation, communication, and project management skills, along with a deep commitment to youth development and constitutional values.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with ComMutiny – The Youth Collective (CYC) for programme alignment and strategic planning.
Organize peer learning spaces and support sessions to enhance facilitators’ understanding of constitutional values, fraternity, and youth leadership.
Conduct field visits to mentor facilitators, provide hands-on support, and identify innovative local solutions.
Contribute to narrative building around youth-centric development, fraternity, and constitutional citizenship.
Manage monthly and quarterly reporting, documentation, and contribute to the Information Management System (IMS).
Design and facilitate trainings and workshops for facilitators and partner organizations.
Support administrative coordination, contracting, and partner communication.
Oversee programme planning, implementation, and supportive monitoring across project sites.
Key Qualities & Skills
Strong facilitation and training design expertise.
Proficiency in social media and content creation tools (e.g., Canva).
Excellent command of MS Office, Excel, and digital reporting tools.
Strong understanding of youth-centric development, constitutional learning, and leadership journeys.
Excellent interpersonal, coordination, and communication skills.
Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Mass Communication, Development Studies, or related fields.
3–4 years of experience in youth development, constitutional engagement, or relevant social development initiatives.
Remuneration
₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
