Job Description

We have an immediate opening for the position of Program Manager, Location - Mumbai(Palghar).
Education: Masters degree in Public Health with a healthcare background.

Experience: 3-4 years of experience in managing community-based or maternal and child health programs.

Strong project management and people management skills.

Experience in donor reporting, government coordination, and documentation.

Proficiency in Marathi and English preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Program Manager will serve as the operational and reporting lead for the program in improving field-level control, strengthening reporting and donor documentation, and ensuring effective communication and follow-up across stakeholders. The Program Manager will act as the Sr. Program Leads operational extension in Palghar, with oversight over field coordinators and block officers, while maintaining clear alignment with program strategy and organizational priorities.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Proven ability to lead multi-level teams, plan field operations efficiently and ensure timely achievement of program milestones. Experience in aligning teams toward common health outcomes through structured planning and review mechanisms.
  • Sound understanding of maternal and child health interventions, including antenatal, postnatal and neonatal care protocols. Ability to interpret medical information, guide frontline health workers and ensure quality assurance in health service delivery.
  • Deep understanding of social determinants of health and commitment to advancing gender-equitable health outcomes. Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural contexts, ethical practices, and inclusive approaches in community engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi. Skilled in facilitating coordination with government officials, health departments and community-based organizations. Capable of translating technical concepts into accessible communication for field teams and beneficiaries.
  • Hands-on experience in rural and tribal program implementation. Ability to anticipate operational challenges,devise context-appropriate solutions and ensure uninterrupted field execution in resource-constrained settings.
  • Coordinate with district health officials, ICDS, and local bodies for smooth implementation of all the planned activities.
