The study entitled India Child Growth Standards Research Initiative: A Prospective Cohort Study to Develop Growth and Development Standards in 0 to 24 months Indian Children- UNNATI, is a prospective cohort study planned to be conducted across 6 regions of India (North, South, East, West, Central, and North-East). The objective of the study is to develop updated growth and neurodevelopmental standards for children aged 0-24 months under optimal biological, socioeconomic, and behavioral conditions. As part of this initiative, we are looking for Project Technical Support -III with a starting date of 15th March 2025. There are eight vacancies available for candidates with preferred qualifications in BSc Nursing/GNM Nursing/Life Sciences/MSW/ MPH/M.Sc Nutrition. The salary offered for this position is Rs. 36400/- per month, and proficiency in English, Kannada, and Hindi languages is required. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in maternal and child healthcare. Desirable qualifications include experience in neonatal care, breastfeeding support, or community health programs, as well as training in early childhood development and nurturing care. Key responsibilities for this role include assisting in prenatal check-ups, monitoring maternal vitals, providing guidance on maternal nutrition and prenatal exercises, educating expecting mothers on antenatal visits and fetal development, supporting postnatal recovery and lactation, providing breastfeeding counseling, conducting routine newborn assessments, guiding parents on newborn hygiene and safe sleep practices, educating caregivers on breastfeeding techniques and complementary feeding, monitoring infant growth and development milestones, assisting in the prevention and management of common infant illnesses, and maintaining detailed patient records. This position will be based in Bangalore and the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the research project activities at SJRI representing the South Zone of the project and at various field sites. You will also assist in preparing various reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, work on process improvements, and support data program performance within the organization. To excel in this role, you should have knowledge of different Project Management Tools and Methodologies, excellent cross-team coordination skills, familiarity with program review mechanisms, and the ability to work with data analytics teams. Experience in maternal and child health programs or public health projects would be advantageous.
