Program Manager

• Act as the operational partner to the Head of Hardware Design, translating strategic vision into practical, scalable hardware solutions.
• Identify and resolve manufacturability challenges early, embedding DFM best practices to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production.
• Lead the entire program lifecycle from planning and tracking to risk management and timely execution.
• Drive alignment across functions including design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product to ensure cohesive delivery.
• Spearhead initiatives to improve reliability, reduce cost, and enhance efficiency across the hardware development process.

Current major challenges for the potential hire to resolve is:

• Translate strategic vision into manufacturable hardware, balancing cutting-edge innovation with practical execution.
• Anticipate and resolve design bottlenecks early to enable scalability, cost-efficiency, and seamless production.
• Navigate the trade-off between speed and stability, ensuring fast development without compromising reliability, maintainability, or performance.
• Drive cross-functional program execution, managing multiple workstreams, risks, and dependencies in a complex R&D environment.
• Bridge communication gaps across functionsdesign, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and productto ensure alignment and delivery.

Kimbal desires the Program Manager to have:

• 5-10 years of experience in electronics hardware design or related program management roles in high-tech manufacturing or product engineering organizations.
• BTech/MTech in Electronics or a related field from a reputed institution
• Deep understanding of electronics hardware product life cyclesfrom concept to mass manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive execution in complex, R&D environments.
• Experience in manufacturability assessment, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and quality-driven design practices is highly desirable.
