The job description for the Finance Innovation Process and Projects head involves several key responsibilities and objectives. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless implementation of group finance tools, technologies and automations for the finance and accounting functions, which will help to enhance productivity and efficiency across Global Business Services (GBS)

1. Project Planning and Execution

   :
• Develop comprehensive project plans for financial initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.

2. Budget Management

   :
• Create and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and make necessary adjustments to ensure financial targets are met.

3. Risk Management

   :
• Identify financial risks associated with projects and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot implementations.

4. Stakeholder and Collaboration

   :

• Work with process owners for different finance functions such as Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Record to Report (R2R).
• Work closely with various departments, including Finance, Accounting, IT, and Operations, to ensure successful project implementation and process improvements
• Coordinate with Third Parties application providers and ensure seamless roll out of the identified tools
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

• Responsible for accelerating the digitalization of GBS across all centers, increasing finance efficiency, and shifting the center of gravity for projects related to pure GBS processes automation.
• Involves replicating the Head Office (HO) organization and practices closer to GBS operations

QUALIFICATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Educational Background

  : A Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is typically required. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CPA) is preferred

• Experience

  : Proven experience in project management, particularly in finance-related projects, is essential. Familiarity with financial software and tools is a plus.

• Analytical Skills

  : Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail are necessary for effective budget management and financial analysis.

• Minimum of 18 + years

  of progressive experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills:

  The ability to analyze complex financial data, identify risks, and develop effective solutions is essential.

• Communication Skills

  : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, is crucial for building relationships and influencing decisions.

• Leadership and management skills:

  The ability to lead and mentor a team of internal control professionals is essential for a General Manager role.

• Experience with risk management frameworks

  : Understanding and applying risk management frameworks
