Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops on various aspects of law, including foundational and specialized areas.
• Provide comprehensive instruction to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in legal concepts, theories, and practical applications.
• Facilitate discussions, encourage critical thinking, and promote interactive learning experiences within the classroom.
• Mentor and guide students, providing academic advising, career counseling, and support for research projects or dissertations.
• Stay updated with recent developments in the field of law and incorporate current legal cases, legislation, and judicial interpretations into teaching materials.
• Design and revise course curriculum to ensure relevance and alignment with industry standards and academic requirements.
• Assess student performance through examinations, projects, presentations, and other evaluation methods.
• Provide constructive feedback to students regarding their academic progress and areas for improvement.
• Engage in scholarly research activities by conducting independent research, publishing papers, and participating in conferences and seminars.
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster an environment of academic excellence and contribute to curriculum development and assessment.
• Serve on academic committees, participate in faculty meetings, and contribute to the overall governance and strategic planning of the department and university.
• Maintain active professional memberships and affiliations to stay connected with the legal community.
• Stay abreast of changes and advancements in legal education practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching methodologies.
  

Qualifications And Skills

• A minimum of 15 years of experience as in teaching / Reasearch/ Academics
• A master's degree in Law (LLM) or a Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required. A Ph.D. in Law or a related field is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise and in-depth knowledge in specific areas of law, along with a solid foundation in core legal subjects.
• Proven track record of excellence in teaching, research, and publications.
• Strong passion for legal education and a genuine interest in nurturing students' intellectual and professional growth.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students through innovative teaching methodologies.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide students effectively.
• Dedication to high ethical and professional standards.
• Proven ability to contribute to the scholarship and development of the field of law through research and publications.
• Active engagement in professional legal associations and networks.
