Professor / Associate Professor - Department of Agriculture

The Department of Agriculture invites applications for the position of Professor or Associate Professor. This senior academic role is pivotal in advancing agricultural education, research, and innovation. • Teaching and Curriculum Development

  : Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses in agricultural sciences, develop innovative curricula, and mentor students in research and professional development.

• Research Leadership

  : Lead and conduct impactful research in areas such as crop science, soil management, sustainable farming, and agricultural technology, securing funding and publishing in reputed journals.

• Student Supervision

  : Guide graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) in their thesis work, fostering critical thinking and practical skills.

• Industry and Community Engagement

  : Collaborate with agricultural stakeholders, including farmers, industry partners, and government agencies, to translate research into practical solutions.

• Administrative Duties

  : Participate in departmental committees, contribute to accreditation processes, and support strategic planning for the department.

• Educational Background

  : A Ph.D. in Agriculture or a closely related field from a recognized institution.

• Experience

  :
• For Professor: Minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience, with at least 5 years as an Associate Professor or equivalent, and a strong record of published research.
• For Associate Professor: Minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience, including 3 years as an Assistant Professor or equivalent, with a growing research portfolio.

• Skills and Expertise

  : Demonstrated expertise in agricultural sciences (e.g., agronomy, horticulture, agricultural engineering), proficiency in modern research methodologies, and experience with grant writing.

• Publications

  : A minimum of 10 research papers (Professor) or 5 research papers (Associate Professor) in peer-reviewed journals.
