Production Team Lead

As a 3rd Shift Production Team Lead - Batch at AkzoNobel in Waukegan, IL, your main responsibility is to guide the daily manufacturing activities to ensure maximum departmental performance. You will oversee safety, quality, process efficiency, and cost control during production shifts. Your role involves monitoring and analyzing all stages of the manufacturing process to prevent errors, assigning daily tasks to the manufacturing staff, and ensuring compliance with work practices and procedures. Additionally, you will actively participate in Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental activities, including attending meetings, training sessions, and reporting incidents. Providing daily production updates and reviewing shift performance will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, good communication and customer service skills, strong mathematical abilities, and basic computer proficiency. You should also be comfortable working from elevated platforms, lifting objects up to 50 lbs, and working around moving equipment in the manufacturing environment.
