Position Title: Production Supervisor

Job Overview:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing floor. This role involves managing a team of production workers, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

Lead, manage, and motivate a team of production workers to achieve production goals.
Schedule and assign tasks to team members based on production needs.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, performance expectations, and company updates.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.

Production Planning and Coordination:

Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, quality control, maintenance) to ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure efficiency.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all products meet the companys quality standards.
Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.

Process Improvement:

Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Utilize lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and quality issues.
Prepare regular reports for management on production performance.
Document and report any incidents or accidents in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
