Production Supervisor

The RMC Plant Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of a Ready-Mix Concrete plant, overseeing production, staff, and maintenance to meet production targets while adhering to quality and safety regulations.  Key responsibilities Operations and production: Oversee all daily plant activities, including the batching, mixing, and dispatch of concrete to meet project demands. Develop and implement production schedules and plans. Staff supervision: Manage, train, and motivate a team of plant operators, drivers, and laborers. Schedule shifts and ensure adequate manpower. Quality control: Ensure all concrete meets customer and industry quality standards through effective quality control procedures and lab testing. Monitor raw materials and perform quality checks. Safety and compliance: Enforce all safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety training for plant personnel. Inventory and logistics: Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure sufficient stock. Oversee the timely and safe delivery of finished product. Maintenance: Ensure all plant equipment is in good working order through regular inspections and by coordinating preventive and breakdown maintenance with relevant staff and suppliers. Record-keeping: Maintain accurate production logs, delivery records, and other documentation as required.  Required skills and qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with some supervisory experience. Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of RMC production processes, including batching and quality control. Ability to enforce safety and quality standards.
