Job Title: Production Manager – Sheet Metal Fabrication

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our sheet metal fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, optimizing resource utilization, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control sheet metal fabrication operations to ensure production targets are met.
• Manage manpower, machinery, materials, and processes to ensure efficient workflow.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, punching, welding, and assembly.
• Monitor production output, quality, and downtime metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and quality teams to improve product manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards (e.g., OSHA).
• Lead, coach, and motivate the production team for continuous improvement.
• Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and other process improvement techniques.
• Schedule preventive maintenance for machines and tools to minimize downtime.
• Control inventory and coordinate with supply chain teams for material availability.
• Prepare production reports and analyze data for decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or metal manufacturing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong understanding of fabrication techniques (laser cutting, CNC punching, press brake operations, welding, etc.).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
