Production Manager

As a Production Manager at our steel fabrication facility in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, you will play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day production activities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in daily production planning, supervising shop floor operations, monitoring production output for quality and timeliness, coordinating with various teams, ensuring material availability, maintaining production records, implementing process improvements, ensuring safety protocols adherence, and training workers on best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in daily production planning and ensure smooth execution of fabrication activities as per project schedule. - Supervise shop floor operations including cutting, welding, drilling, punching, bending, and fit-up of steel members. - Monitor and control production output to meet quality standards and delivery timelines. - Coordinate with design, quality, and dispatch teams to ensure error-free production and smooth workflow. - Track material availability and raise requirements for shortages to avoid production delays. - Maintain production records and report daily progress to senior management. - Support implementation of process improvements and lean manufacturing practices to increase efficiency. - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment on the shop floor. - Train and guide workers/operators on best practices and maintain discipline on the shop floor. Qualifications Required: - B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) - Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Transmission Line fabrication industry or similar production. - Strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes, welding symbols, and reading engineering drawings. - Good understanding of production planning, process flow, and resource allocation. - Basic knowledge of quality control parameters related to steel structures. - Proficiency in MS Excel/Word and exposure to ERP/MIS systems for production reporting. - Strong team coordination and communication skills. - Self-motivated, with an eye for detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. In addition to the qualifications required, candidates from transmission line tower, substation structure, or similar fabrication industries are highly preferred. Experience in managing shop floor manpower, coordinating with multiple departments, and exposure to ISO standards, TPM, or lean manufacturing practices will be advantageous. This is a full-time position that requires in-person work at our location in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh.,
