Production Manager – Cosmetic Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations for personal care and cosmetic products such as creams, lotions, shampoos, serums, and gels. The candidate will be responsible for planning production, ensuring quality standards, managing manpower, and coordinating with R&D, QC, and engineering teams for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
• Ensure production output meets required quality standards and timelines.
• Oversee batch manufacturing process according to SOP and GMP guidelines.
• Monitor raw material planning, availability, and consumption control.
• Ensure proper documentation including BMR, BPR, batch records, and production logs.
• Coordinate with R&D for new product trials and process improvements.
• Maintain and improve hygiene, safety, and housekeeping standards in the plant.
• Manage manpower, assign responsibilities, and conduct training to operators.
• Monitor production equipment and coordinate with maintenance team for repairs and calibration.
• Reduce process losses, increase productivity, and control cost efficiencies.
• Report daily production status, wastage, and efficiency KPIs to management.
• Handle audits including GMP / ISO / FDA / Ayush / internal audits.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years experience in cosmetics / pharma / FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cream, lotion, shampoo, gel, serum & oil production process.
• Understanding of GMP, GLP, ISO and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, problem solving & team handling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple production lines & manpower.
• Good knowledge of machine operations (Mixer, Homogenizer, Filling, Packing lines etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Office & production documentation.

Education

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry OR B.Tech / Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Cosmetics Technology
• Additional certification in GMP or Production Management is an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
