Production Manager – Cable & Wire Industry

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team in the Cable & Wire Industry. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing production operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage shop-floor operations to achieve daily/weekly production targets.
• Plan and schedule machine and manpower utilization for maximum efficiency.
• Monitor, control, and troubleshoot production processes to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee manufacturing processes including RBD, Wire Drawing, Bunching, Rewinding, Stranding, Core Laying, Armouring, Extrusion (PVC/XLPE/LSZH/XLPO Rubber), Taping (PET, Copper, Aluminium Mylar), Printing, Auto Coiling, Boiler, Mixing, Braiding, and related operations.
• Implement defect classification standards and ensure strict quality checks as per process requirements.
• Control material consumption, minimize scrap, and ensure compliance with Bill of Material (BOM).
• Drive initiatives like 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Safety, Visual Management, and First-Line Maintenance.
• Manage and mentor shop-floor staff, ensuring discipline, safety, and high productivity.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory compliance in all production activities.
• To maintain ISO Document & implementation of ISO 9001-215.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in cable & wire production operations.
• Strong knowledge of cable manufacturing processes
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and lean manufacturing practices.
