Job Description

Diversity hiring (We are looking to hire female candidate for this role)

You ll be Our: Production Manager

You ll be based at: Hosur, Tamil Nadu

You ll be a member of: Manufacturing Operations

You ll be reporting to : Production Lead - Battery

What you ll do at Ather:

Be the point of contact for a program from a production perspective, looking at timelines, capex plans and opex plans.
Understanding of new product development cycle (APQP) encompassing products design, manufacturing, assembly, integration and providing technical inputs & support to CFT s right from conception to completion stage
Monitoring Pre SOP & After SOP trial concerns and validation of root causes & countermeasures for 3M related issues
Good understanding of resource optimization & capacity utilization and initiating productivity & operational efficiency improvement projects
Work along with subject matter experts in relevant fields to arrive at the best way forward for the organization.
Represent production team during discussions with multiple Swimlanes ( CFT s ) for updates,
Work along with the vehicle production team to get various projects to meet the Organization OKR.
Work along with the battery production team to complete various projects defined during PI & Sprint planning sessions.
Involve in development of new products right from the POC stage till SOP, giving inputs at each development phase for smooth integration of new products.
Act as a SPOC for all sustenance related activities from the production department.
Responsible for delivering various KPI s under SQCDM from the production department.
Align with SIC s to deploy 3M resources to achieve daily operational goals.
Represent the production department in various internal & external audits and ensure all the findings are closed within the timelines.
Engage in the change management process (MQ1,SOR, DAP, FTR, CR, IA etc., ) & provide feedback to the relevant stakeholders.
Act as reliever to SIC s as part of contingency planning.

Here s what we are looking for:

Hands on experience on handling mass Production
Understanding & implementation of TPM, TPS & TQM techniques for the production shop floor.
Familiar with software such as SAP, JIRA, Auto cad, Factory CAD, etc.
Understanding of New product development process, PFMEA & control plan
Technical expertise in understanding manufacturing process
Expert in development of Assembly tools of Ease of production
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
Mentor Production SIC s for their development
Understand grievances of associates and alleviate issues
Ensure good morale and sense of well being in the team
Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001(IMS)
Exposure to greenfield project

You Bring to Ather:

BE in Mechanical, EEE, E&C or Mechatronics
6-10 years of experience in Production or Process Engineering or Operation Program Management preferably from automobile industry
