Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility to achieve budgeted production volume for the Unit
Ensure that the production is cost effective, optimized as per market requirement and as per desired quality standards
Analyze data and study ways to make improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and make required changes to other aspects of the process
Responsible for Unit Packing Plant Operations - ensure adherence to daily dispatch plan in coordination with Sales & Logistics Teams, and ensuring no customer complaints against bag weight and quality
Liaise with all OEMs, suppliers, vendors, and consultants for an update on data, benchmarking, newer innovations and advancements and external support
Actively work with Maintenance Teams on root cause analysis (RCA) for breakdowns and support in implementation of permanent corrective actions.
Review daily, weekly & monthly plant performance reports, analyze variances, and take timely corrective actions wherever necessary
Regularly monitor and counsel the departmental contract workforce including packing and loading workmen to ensure uninterrupted production & dispatch activities, and maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions in all areas
Lead plant initiatives for energy saving projects, undertake energy audit and perform inspections with an aim to conserve energy and reduce carbon / environmental footprints from the production activities
Ensure all the legal, statutory and internal / external audit compliances are met
Continuously review and monitor performance of team members, and conduct capability building sessions for team members and departmental contractual workforce
