Production Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Engineer responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily production activities to ensure output targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met efficiently. The role requires hands-on involvement on the shop floor and strong coordination with quality, maintenance, and stores teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Execution

• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per order requirements
• Ensure optimal utilization of machines, manpower, and materials
• Monitor production output and take corrective actions to avoid delays
• Reduce idle time and improve line efficiency

Process & Efficiency Improvement

• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
• Reduce rejection, wastage, and rework
• Improve cycle time, productivity, and cost efficiency
• Implement SOPs and best manufacturing practices

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure production meets defined quality standards
• Coordinate with QC team for in-process and final inspection
• Ensure proper documentation of production and quality records
• Ensure adherence to safety, housekeeping, and factory discipline

Team Management

• Supervise operators, helpers, and line staff
• Allocate manpower shift-wise and machine-wise
• Train workers on process, quality, and safety
• Maintain discipline and productivity on the shop floor

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance
• Coordinate with stores for raw material and packing availability
• Maintain daily production reports, rejection reports, and downtime reports
• Report issues and improvements to management regularly

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
• 2–5 years experience in manufacturing (plastic molding preferred)
• Strong understanding of production processes and shop-floor management
• Ability to handle manpower and resolve production issues
• Basic knowledge of quality systems and production documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
