Production Engineer

As a Production Engineer at Perceptyne, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the production processes are efficient, cost-effective, high-quality, and safe. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing, implementing, and maintaining production processes, procedures, and standard work instructions to ensure consistent and efficient output. - Supervising manufacturing and assembly operations on a daily basis. - Planning and managing production at both in-house and external manufacturing vendor sites. - Working closely with quality control to address non-conformities. - Coordinating with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of raw materials, standard items, and tools. - Collaborating with design and engineering teams for a smooth production handoff. - Monitoring production operations to achieve targets for throughput, quality, cost, and delivery. - Analyzing process performance data and optimizing manufacturing processes to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards. - Leading root cause analyses and implementing corrective/preventive actions when production issues occur. - Introducing and driving lean manufacturing initiatives for waste reduction, process standardization, and resource optimization. - Integrating new products or process changes into production by working with cross-functional teams. - Ensuring that manufacturing equipment is selected correctly, maintained appropriately, and operated safely. - Preparing and maintaining production documentation such as bills of materials, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. - Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards, quality management systems, and company policies. - Supervising, training, and coaching production staff/operators on process changes, quality standards, and safe operations. Qualifications & Skills: Essential: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline. - 4-8 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment with exposure to process engineering and continuous improvement. - Strong analytical skills and knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive mindset. Desirable / Plus Points: - Experience or certification in Lean / Six Sigma. - Familiarity with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies. - Experience in new product introduction (NPI) or process launch.
