As a Production Engineer specializing in fit-up, tack welding, Permit to Work (PTW), and assembly operations, your role involves overseeing and enhancing the production process to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities and qualifications: Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute fit-up procedures, ensuring proper alignment and preparation of components for welding. - Oversee and monitor tack welding operations, ensuring adherence to welding procedures and quality standards. - Develop and implement PTW procedures for all relevant activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. - Plan and optimize assembly workflows, identifying potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement. - Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet required specifications. - Promote a safe working environment by ensuring safety procedures are followed. - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field). - 3-4 years of experience in production engineering focusing on fit-up, tack welding, PTW, and assembly operations. - Strong understanding of welding procedures and quality standards. - Experience with PTW systems and safety regulations. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CAD, ERP). - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
