As a Production Engineer specializing in fit-up, tack welding, Permit to Work (PTW), and assembly operations, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and enhance the production process. Your role will involve ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the required quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include: - Planning and executing fit-up procedures, ensuring proper alignment and preparation of components for welding. - Overseeing and monitoring tack welding operations to ensure adherence to welding procedures and quality standards. - Developing and implementing PTW procedures for all relevant activities, reviewing and approving PTW requests, and conducting audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations. - Planning and optimizing assembly workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring correct assembly procedures are followed. - Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to meet required specifications. - Promoting a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures and conducting inspections and audits. - Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality standards. To qualify for this role, you will need: - A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field). - 3-4 years of proven experience in production engineering, focusing on fit-up, tack welding, PTW, and assembly operations. - Strong understanding of welding procedures, PTW systems, safety regulations, and quality standards. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as CAD and ERP, as well as knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
