  • Drive various initiatives to build a safety culture, awareness on safety at workplace for achieving zero Loss Time Incidence (LTI) in collaboration with multiple stakeholders/teams
  • Review and ensure LMRA is filled by each workmen on weekly basis; Review weekly audit reports and analyze any gaps/lapses pertaining to safety and action planning
  • Conduct joint investigation with safety team for accident reported, give inputs for preparing Corrective And Prevention Action (CAPA) based upon Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and review them as and when needed
  • Encourage employees to report near misses and incidents to instill safety culture at workplace; Undertake preventive actions to avoid any future such accidents/incidents
  • Review updating Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) sheet on a periodic basis
  • Monitor the daily shifts, production activities, booking hours at the workshop to ensure adherence to production schedule, budget, quality safety norms
  • Review the statement for actual vs budgeted hours as and when shared by planning team for the particular job, do the analysis for extra hours, if any, and explain the reason for such variance i.e. change in sequence, material quality etc.
  • Review the weekly target for tonnage for respective department and highlight/escalate in case of any issues that may affect performance against target
  • Track and maintain the in-process raw materials inventory in the machine shop and ensure material safety and security at all times- Reframe the pointer (Material tracking for components which are required for fabrication activities as per the schedule to ensure no project delays; Remove safety and security
  • Check whether components for fabrication are planned or not (Make any required changes)
  • Ensure compliance to the defined processes and standards ensuring zero non conformity in internal and external audit
  • eview the time shared by process team for a particular job and align them for any change in hours, if needed
  • Review the hours taken to perform a job booked in SAP with the budgeted hours and identify cost of rework for each department; Reduce such rework Year on Year (YoY) as per target
  • Identify repeat non performers i.e. employees making repeated poor weld etc. and undertake root cause analysis for such non performance to address them through refresher trainings/ work counselling/disciplinary action etc.
  • Lead and drive 5S as per target, ensure compliance as per given schedule
  • Review the first time acceptance data for fabrication and strive for reduction in in-process rejections and internal rework as per target
  • Instill a culture of continuous development and high performance within own team
  • Maintain cordial industrial relations with union members
