Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Process Optimization & Efficiency:

• Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles (

  Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen

  ) to optimize workflow and reduce operational costs.
• Monitor production output, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to meet production targets.

• Quality Assurance & Control:

• Collaborate with the Quality team to establish and maintain quality control standards for raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Implement

  Statistical Process Control (SPC)

  techniques to monitor and control process variations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production defects and non-conformities, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (

  CAPA

  ).
• Ensure all production processes comply with internal quality standards and industry regulations (

  e.g., ISO, IATF

  specify if applicable).

• Troubleshooting & Maintenance Support:

• Troubleshoot production issues and equipment malfunctions, working closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production operators and supervisors.

• Resource Management & Planning:

• Assist in production planning and scheduling to ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment or technology to improve production capabilities.
• Ensure proper inventory management for production materials to avoid shortages or excess stock.

• Documentation & Reporting:

• Create and maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and production records.
• Generate regular production performance reports, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
• Prepare cost analyses and justification reports for process improvements or new equipment investments.

• Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure all production activities adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the production environment.
