Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lift Maintenance Specialist to perform routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of lift systems according to manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in elevators, escalators, and related systems. Respond to emergency callouts and breakdowns, providing timely and effective solutions. Conduct safety checks and audits to ensure all lifts meet legal safety standards. Keep accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and repair records. Work closely with supervisors, building managers, or clients to provide updates and recommendations. Assist with modernization or installation projects when required. Ensure all work is carried out with strict adherence to health and safety protocols. Stay updated on the latest technologies and regulatory changes in lift maintenance.
Core Roles Welding Process Selection & Development Select appropriate welding methods (e.g., MIG, TIG, SMAW, SAW) based on material and design. Develop and document welding procedures (WPS) and ensure their qualification (PQR). Fabrication Planning & Supervision Plan and oversee fabrication activities, including cutting, bending, rolling, and welding. Interpret engineering drawings and ensure fabrication complies with them. Material & Consumable Management Select and verify materials, welding electrodes/fillers based on specifications and codes. Ensure traceability and proper storage/handling of materials. Weld Quality & Inspection Coordination Ensure quality control during welding processes. Coordinate with NDT (UT, RT, PT, MT) inspectors and interpret results. Manage weld defect identification and repair processes. Code & Standard Compliance Ensure compliance with international/national standards like ASME, AWS, ISO, EN, or IS codes. Maintain records and documentation for audits and certifications. Key Responsibilities WPS/PQR Development : Create and qualify welding procedure specifications and records. Welder Qualification : Train and qualify welders as per standards. Weld Joint Design : Optimize weld joint design for strength, economy, and manufacturability. Process Optimization : Improve productivity by optimizing weld parameters and reducing rework. Documentation : Maintain welding logs, inspection reports, deviation notes, and test reports. Safety Compliance : Enforce welding safety procedures (PPE, gas handling, ventilation, etc.). Failure Analysis : Investigate weld failures and recommend corrective/preventive actions. Collaboration : Work with design, quality, and production teams for smooth project execution.

Compliance and Policy Implementation Ensure HR policies are followed and aligned with labor laws. Assist with audits, labor law compliance, and statutory filings (ESIC, PF, gratuity, etc.). 6. Employee Support and Communication Address routine employee queries and concerns. Act as a bridge between employees and management for communication. 7. Training and Development Coordination Maintain training calendars and help coordinate internal/external training programs. Keep records of training attendance and outcomes. 8. HR Reports and Documentation Generate reports on employee data, absenteeism, turnover, etc. Prepare HR documentation such as memos, warning letters, and certificates. 9. Exit and Offboarding Process Conduct exit formalities including clearance, final settlement, and exit interviews. Update records and deactivate system access. 10. Support in Events and Engagement Activities Help plan and organize employee engagement programs, team outings, celebrations, etc.

Assist in non-conformance analysis and corrective actions. Welding and Assembly Supervision: Ensure welding is carried out as per WPS (Welding Procedure Specification). Monitor joint preparation, fit-up, and welding quality. Oversee sub-assembly and final assembly processes. Material Management: Estimate material requirements and minimize wastage. Ensure traceability of raw materials and consumables. Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE use. Comply with ISO, ASME, or other relevant fabrication standards. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain production logs, time sheets, and daily progress reports. Document welding logs, inspection reports, and process deviations. Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements in jigs, fixtures, or process flow. Support lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. Skills Required: Deep knowledge of fabrication processes (cutting, forming, welding, grinding, etc.) Proficiency in reading engineering and fabrication drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) Understanding of material properties (especially metals like SS, MS, AL) Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 3834, ASME, AWS D1.1) Team handling and shift management skills
