As a Production Engineer , you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all stages of the production process, from raw material to finished goods. This role involves improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing costs, ensuring product quality, and troubleshooting production issues. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to streamline operations and meet production targets. Responsibilities Process Optimization & Efficiency: Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste. Apply lean manufacturing principles ( Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen ) to optimize workflow and reduce operational costs. Monitor production output, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to meet production targets. Quality Assurance & Control: Collaborate with the Quality team to establish and maintain quality control standards for raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to monitor and control process variations. Conduct root cause analysis for production defects and non-conformities, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions ( CAPA ). Ensure all production processes comply with internal quality standards and industry regulations ( e.g., ISO, IATF specify if applicable ). Troubleshooting & Maintenance Support: Troubleshoot production issues and equipment malfunctions, working closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery. Provide technical support and guidance to production operators and supervisors. Resource Management & Planning: Assist in production planning and scheduling to ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials. Evaluate and recommend new equipment or technology to improve production capabilities. Ensure proper inventory management for production materials to avoid shortages or excess stock. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and production records. Generate regular production performance reports, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and improvement initiatives. Prepare cost analyses and justification reports for process improvements or new equipment investments. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all production activities adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the production environment.
