Production Engineer

You will be responsible for designing and developing wiring harnesses and related components based on project specifications and requirements. This includes creating detailed schematics, diagrams, and engineering drawings using CAD software. You will collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop prototypes and validate designs. In addition, you will supervise and manage the production process for wiring harnesses, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules. You will develop and implement production procedures and protocols to optimize efficiency and reduce waste. Troubleshooting and resolving production issues related to wiring harnesses and associated components will also be part of your role. As part of quality assurance, you will conduct regular inspections and quality checks on wiring harnesses to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. You will implement quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and performance. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of design specifications, production processes, and quality control records will also be a key responsibility. You will prepare and present reports on production performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives. Effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, suppliers, vendors, and customers are essential to ensure seamless production operations. Adhering to Acoem India's policies and relevant health, safety, and environmental acts and regulations is crucial in performing your duties efficiently and diligently. Other duties include personal objectives as documented in the annual Performance Review form, learning objectives issued to new employees, continuously developing and enhancing the team's performance, and meeting or exceeding all KPIs. You will report to the Plant Manager and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders including R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, etc. across Acoem. Qualifications and experience required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering, proven experience in wiring harness design, development, and production, proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and other relevant engineering tools. A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles related to wiring harnesses, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, strong organizational and time management skills, and effective communication and interpersonal abilities are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant field and experience in the automotive or aerospace industry. This is a full-time position with day shift availability, and the work location is in person.,
