Provide CAD engineering designs to support catalog products and OEM products with regard cylinders, hydraulics, electric & electronic product, components & systems as we'll as fixtures and testing devices to accomplish the tasks assigned to provide a safe product providing manufacturing drawings and material required for testing requirements,
Responsible for all engineering CAD designs of products assigned, contributing toward cost, quality, and productivity improvements working with global and locally based cross-functional teams and providing engineering support to the manufacturing cells if required.
What You Will Do
- Create, modify and maintain engineering design data including 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials and all other product design artifacts.
- Execute Engineering Change Notices following Enerpac global engineering practices.
- Contribute to DFMEA working groups and Design Reviews, collaborating with global colleagues.
- Work closely with colleagues in Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations to modify product designs to suit local manufacturing capabilities while maintaining product quality, safety and certifications.
- Support sustaining engineering tasks aimed to maintain the standard product regarding sourcing, manufacturing, product architecture, packaging and delivery.
- Support and maintain the PDM system following the procedures and processes of Enerpac s Engineering Standards.
- Assist other internal engineering teams with best practice solutions.
- Produce and check design drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings utilizing 3D CAD.
- Submit and conduct validation tests drawings in the test lab to ensure products meet life and performance requirements following requisition from your sustaining engineers.
- Maintain positive working relationship with cross-functional teams including marketing, project management, sourcing, purchasing, quality, and operations.
- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, customers, distributors, and sales personnel.
- Work with operators and other engineers on shift to troubleshoot defect/contamination sources and to determine proper repair techniques.
- Collaborate in the investigation of product complaints from customer sites, perform root cause analysis of failures, and propose remediation in a timely fashion.
- Perform all duties in compliance with the quality management system; actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the QMS.
- Attend validation tests in the lab to ensure products meet life and performance requirements.
- Provide all project documentation, drawings, planning, revisions, instruction sheets, revision drawing etc
- Attend to all training assigned and report to your manager the training needs from your personal & department development.
- Support Production Department during assembling, testing & compliance test if required.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times.
What makes you an ideal candidate
- bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational experience and qualifications.
- Demonstrable experience of heavy duty industrial equipment design.
- 3 years experience of 3D design using PTC Creo
- 3 years experience using PTC Windchill
- Ability to manage tasks assigned independently in a team environment under supervision of sustaining engineers.
- Understanding of basic hydraulics & electrics with ability to apply knowledge to product design.
- Ability to manage concurrent projects independently in a team environment.
- Pro-active in undergoing continuous learning in technical know-how and hands-on experience.
- Hands-on and ability to conduct tests in the development laboratory.
- Some experience of electrical and electronics design tools, while not essential, would be positive.
- Language : Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
