Product Engineer

Role Overview: As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), your main responsibility will be building the reliability, scalability, and automation foundation for the company's systems. Being the first SRE hire, you will play a crucial role in ensuring system health and performance, as well as shaping the reliability culture and engineering best practices as the company scales. Key Responsibilities: - Align the platform's behavior in production with ambitions and customer expectations by defining, monitoring, and maintaining Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets. - Proactively identify, prioritize, and eliminate single points of failure to ensure system resilience across critical workflows. - Pioneer the use of LLMs and AI agents to intelligently analyze logs, metrics, and automate root cause analysis. - Work at the intersection of CI/CD and IaC to automate operations and enable seamless disaster recovery. - Partner closely with developers to provide real-time insights about the systems they are working on, while advocating automation and reliability in the SDLC. - Drive blameless postmortems after incidents to continuously improve processes and support seamless operations. Qualifications Required: - Strong background in distributed systems at scale, on cloud, and on-prem HPC infrastructure. - Proven track record of automating tasks and processes to avoid repetitive problem-solving. - In-depth understanding of observability principles and their importance in designing and building stable systems. - Proficiency in programming, OS, and system architecture to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues. - Holistic understanding of systems and their impact, combined with excellent communication skills to prioritize solutions effectively and inform stakeholders during incidents.
