Product Planning- Wiring Harness

In this role as a Product Planning Engineer at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited, you will be responsible for optimizing the Hours per vehicle/Cycle-time by evaluating the Product, Process, and Assembly hierarchy. Your key responsibilities will include providing Design team inputs for Design for Assembly/Manufacturing needs, defining assembly processes considering Quality, Safety, Delivery, and Ergonomics, associating Part, Tool & Quality attributes with the process definition, and conducting preliminary Line Balance/TAKT time/Cycle time planning. Additionally, you will design small Jigs & Fixtures, conduct Time Study using MTM or MOST standards, suggest enhancements/improvements in comparison with earlier product-lines, and manage projects ensuring delivery, quality, time, and innovation.
