Product Owner with Guidewire InsuranceNow (INow) experience

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Vision & Strategy:

  Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap for the InsuranceNow platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and market needs.

• Backlog Management:

  Own, build, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, translating high-level business requirements and epics into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  Serve as the primary liaison between business leaders, subject matter experts, and the development team. Gather requirements, manage expectations, and facilitate communication to ensure alignment.

• Agile Execution:

  Lead and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews/demos.

• User Advocacy & Testing:

  Act as the "voice of the customer," gathering feedback, validating solutions through user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring the delivered functionality meets user needs and quality standards.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Proactively analyze platform metrics, usage, and feedback to inform future enhancements and identify opportunities for process and team improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:

  Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an Agile environment within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry is mandatory.

• Platform Knowledge:

  In-depth, hands-on experience with the

  Guidewire InsuranceNow

  platform, including its data model, business processes, and configuration capabilities.

• Methodologies:

  Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and experience using agile project management tools like Jira or Confluence.

• Analytical Abilities:

  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and make data-informed trade-off decisions to maximize business value.

• Communication Skills:

  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical details and business strategy to diverse audiences.

• Leadership:

  Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams without direct hierarchical authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
• Experience with cloud-based (SaaS) enterprise software solutions.
