Collaborates With: Other Product Managers, Solution Engineering, Customer Success, PMO, QA, and Sales Engineering

Core Purpose: To ensure that the product’s components and supported workflows are validated, documented, and consistently understood across teams. Acts as a configuration SME-in-training; supporting internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities –

Configuration Setup & Validation

Execute product configurations in test environments to validate new features or workflow capabilities.

• Test configurable elements (rules, access workflows, approval paths, forms, integrations, role mappings) according to product specifications and customer scenarios.
• Verify that configurations align with OOB behavior and document deviations or custom dependencies.
• Support PMs and POs in validating OOB configuration feasibility during pre-release QA or internal demos.

Solution Validation Testing

• Carry out solution validation test cycles (beyond functional QA) to confirm end-to-end workflow behavior from a product use-case standpoint.
• Document results and highlight gaps between intended design and achievable configuration.
• Support regression validation for major configuration-based changes.

Internal Enablement Support

• Act as a first point of contact for PMO, CS, SE, and Sales teams for questions about supported (non-OOB) workflows that can be achieved through configuration.
• Provide internal guidance or step-by-step configuration references when unique workflow requirements are raised.
• Escalate complex solution or integration questions to senior Product Ops Engineers or PMs for review.

OOB Configuration Documentation

• Assist in creating and maintaining Out-of-Box Configuration Guides — step-by-step references for typical workflows, configurations, and supported parameters.
• Ensure documentation is versioned, reviewed, and synchronized with product releases.
• Maintain “configuration deltas” when OOB behavior changes between versions.

Configuration Knowledge Base Management

• Assist the documentation with to update configuration-related pages in internal repositories
• Track configuration FAQs and supported exceptions.

Cross-Team Communication

• Respond to internal product configuration inquiries in a timely, consistent manner.
• Participate in configuration walkthroughs and demos to cross-functional teams.
• Support onboarding of new team members on configuration best practices.

Continuous Improvement

• Propose improvements to OOB configurations based on recurring customer needs.
• Identify common non-OOB configurations that could be standardized into future releases.
• Flag recurring configuration issues or pain points to Product and Engineering for roadmap consideration.

Qualifications – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
