Product Manager - App Experience

Product Manager

This is a highly cross-functional role, ideal for someone who understands both digital products and the unique challenges and potential of connected fitness hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the app experience

  for your assigned hardware category (e.g. sBike, sTread, sRow, etc.)
• Define and launch

  category-specific features

  (e.g. REHIT for Bike, Zone Running for Treadmill, etc.)
• Collaborate with design, engineering, sport science, and content teams to build and optimize tailored experiences

• Align training concepts

  with physical capabilities of the hardware (e.g. resistance, incline, cadence)
• Champion

  metrics-based training

  (e.g. VO max, recovery time, sprint score) and relevant data visualizations
• Gather and prioritize customer insights to drive roadmap decisions
• Ensure seamless hardware-software integration and support for new device features (e.g. instant resistance, auto incline)
• Work closely with marketing to craft compelling product narratives and USPs for your category
• Stay up to date with competitive trends (e.g. Peloton, Carol, Aviron) and emerging tech (AI, biofeedback, gamification)

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in

  Product Management

  (ideally in fitness, health tech, consumer electronics, or app development)
• Strong understanding of

  digital user journeys

  and engagement tactics
• Technical fluency you dont need to code, but you understand how apps and hardware communicate (APIs, BLE, firmware basics)
• A passion for fitness, training methodology, and performance optimization
• Experience collaborating with hardware teams, sports scientists, or connected fitness ecosystems a plus
• Structured thinker with an eye for detail and UX

Bonus Points

• Experience with Zwift, Peloton, Tonal, Whoop, Garmin, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with physiological metrics like VOmax, FTP, or heart rate zones
• Background in sports science, biomechanics, or training analytic
