Product Development Manager

The role's purpose is to lead successful product creation by managing its end-to-end lifecycle from ideation to implementation and successful launch in the market. This involves developing new products or product lines that meet market needs, defining a product development roadmap from conception to market release, conducting market research to understand market-driven business needs, and producing high-level design documents to demonstrate product feasibility and functionality. Key responsibilities include collecting architectural design and technical requirements, prioritizing product features based on business value and ROI, developing Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate product feasibility, creating product strategy documents, analyzing and implementing core technology strategies for product development, and providing technical leadership in design, development, and implementation of custom solutions. The role also involves tracking industry and application trends, providing product support to clients, ensuring process compliances and security clearances, stakeholder management, collaborating with sales and development teams, and providing technical and strategic input during product deployment at client sites. Team management responsibilities include forecasting talent requirements, hiring adequate resources, ensuring onboarding and training for team members, managing team attrition, setting goals, conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, driving engagement initiatives, and tracking team satisfaction scores. Performance parameters for evaluation include product development and management metrics such as the number of new assets created, quality of design, cost, timeline, CSAT, and successful implementation at client sites. Team management metrics include the percentage trained on new age skills, team attrition percentage, and employee satisfaction scores.
