Job Description: Product Development Manager Smart TV Department: Product Engineering / R&D Location: Noida, India Experience: 5–10 years in Consumer Electronics / Smart TV / Role Overview We are seeking an innovative and hands-on Product Development Lead Engineer who can conceptualize, design, and deliver next-generation Smart TV and OTT-enabled devices. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between hardware design, software integration, and user experience, driving the product from idea to final mass production readiness. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end product development for Smart TVs, OTT boxes, and connected devices — from ideation, prototyping, design validation, to production launch. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, software, hardware, QA, and vendors) to ensure product alignment with business and technical goals. Drive innovation in design and technology, incorporating new display, audio, and connectivity standards. Manage hardware-software integration for Android TV, WebOS, AOSP, Coolita, Alexa, and Google TV platforms. Oversee BOM validation, mechanical design finalization, and optical/audio performance optimization. Evaluate and finalize remote-control designs, firmware mapping, and certification processes (RF, WPC, etc.). Coordinate with manufacturing vendors (domestic and overseas, including China) for NPI and quality control. Develop test plans, DFMEA/PFMEA, and ensure compliance with reliability and performance standards. Provide technical guidance to internal teams and mentor junior engineers. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Electrical / Computer Engineering. 5+ years of experience in R&D or Product Development within the Smart TV, OTT, or Consumer Electronics domain. Proven expertise in Android TV, WebOS, AOSP, Google TV, and OTT application integration. Strong understanding of hardware design, optical performance (color, gamma, brightness), audio tuning, and display calibration. Experience in mechanical design coordination, BOM validation, and vendor management. Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, CPS software development, and embedded testing workflows. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Hands-on experience with international vendor collaboration (preferred China exposure). Preferred Qualities Innovative thinker with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Ability to convert product ideas into commercially viable hardware-software solutions. Exposure to OTT UX/UI design workflows and customer-centric product thinking.
