Product Designer

As a Product Designer (Accessories) at Alankaram, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative home decor accessories and lifestyle products aligned with Alankaram's design language. Your role will involve creating detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings for prototyping and production. Collaboration with the in-house design and production teams will be essential to ensure feasibility, material efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Researching global design trends, materials, and finishes to maintain competitiveness and freshness of the accessory line will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, overseeing sampling, testing, and refinement of prototypes before final approval and working closely with marketing and merchandising teams to create collections suitable for premium retail and hospitality projects will be crucial. Maintaining design consistency and quality across all accessory lines will be a key aspect of your work. Key Responsibilities: - Conceptualize, design, and develop innovative home decor accessories and lifestyle products. - Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings for prototyping and production. - Collaborate with in-house design and production teams for feasibility and cost-effectiveness. - Research global design trends, materials, and finishes. - Oversee sampling, testing, and refinement of prototypes. - Work closely with marketing and merchandising teams to create collections. - Maintain design consistency and quality. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of proven experience in product or accessory design. - Strong portfolio showcasing accessory design. - Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, or SolidWorks. - Knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques. - Ability to balance creativity with functionality. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Degree in Industrial Design / Product Design / Furniture Design.
