Product Design Manager

As a Product Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and expanding impactful design initiatives on our B2C learning platforms in Bangalore / Noida. Your primary responsibility will be to drive design excellence, mentor a team of high-performing designers, and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to develop intuitive, scalable, and delightful experiences for millions of learners nationwide. This leadership position requires a combination of hands-on design expertise, team management skills, a user-centric mindset, and a focus on achieving business objectives. You will be responsible for owning and executing the design vision for core product areas on mobile and web platforms. Ensuring quality, consistency, and usability throughout user journeys, from ideation to delivery, will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will advocate for scalable design systems, UI libraries, and cross-platform patterns to enhance the overall user experience. Your role will involve mentoring, coaching, and nurturing a team of talented product designers. Creating a culture of feedback, collaboration, and continuous learning will be essential, along with establishing clear growth paths and performance standards for the design team. Collaborating with product, engineering, and business leaders to align design objectives with strategic product roadmaps will be a critical part of your responsibilities. Making design decisions based on qualitative research, quantitative insights, and experimentation to address ambiguous problems and identify product opportunities will be key. You will also prioritize a user-centric approach by integrating user research and accessibility into the design process to cater to our diverse user base, particularly learners from Tier 2/3 cities. Your role will involve optimizing design team workflows and rituals for efficiency and collaboration in agile environments. Ensuring the timely delivery of high-impact design outcomes without compromising quality or user value will be a priority. We are seeking a candidate with at least 6 years of product design experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a design leadership/managerial position. A proven track record of leading consumer-facing product design initiatives that drive measurable user and business impact is essential. A strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, craft, and team influence across various product lifecycles is required. Proficiency in Figma and design tools, along with a deep understanding of modern design systems, components, and prototyping, is crucial. Strong knowledge of UX best practices, interaction design, and mobile-first B2C experiences is necessary. Experience in fast-paced tech environments, particularly in edtech, consumer-tech, or mobile platforms, is preferred. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are a must, as you will need to collaborate effectively across product, engineering, marketing, and business teams.,
