This means you can endlessly argue about the relative merits of Figma, Sketch, and XD and know exactly how to create super cool micro-interactions using Principle, AfterEffects, and ProtoPie. A collaborative team player who can work well with Product, Engineering, Business, and CX teams to ensure that everyone is aligned with the design vision. You should have shipped products and if they have done well you should know why. But if they have not done well, we expect you to be able to lecture people on how to avoid the pitfalls. You should have the ability to talk business. And no, we do not expect you to wear a suit. Heres what you will do in this role: Creating fantastic products starts with obsessing about the Why and backing it up with a solid understanding of user needs and behavior. So do expect a lot of good quality heated discussions and we want someone who is able to walk up to a whiteboard (or online board) and sketch out ideas and solutions. These ideas and solutions would need to be built into robust user flows that would take care of every conceivable use case and condition. Flows are nothing if they are not translated into screens that are consistent, intuitive but at the same time factor in delight. Finally working with the Product and Engineering teams to bring the designs into reality is a crucial part of the designers journey. However, at PhonePe, a designers journey does not end there. Mechanical Engineer Design and development support for product design activities Mechanical Engineering and CAD activities per scope of work provided by Northern Tool Owns and maintains the design, components, and assemblies with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) techniques, which are used to minimize product cost through design and process improvements. This will include creation of specifications, preliminary design reviews, and critical design reviews. Development of drawings and BOM’s for manufacturing and sourcing Works with Project engineer and participates in integrated product team discussions for assignment of actions and provide status updates. Creation of the mechanical system test requirements Leads design reviews and component placement in master assemblies CAD modeling will follow Northern Tool best practice and meet drawing checklist requirements. Electrical Engineer Electrical Engineering activities at per scope of work provided by Northern Tool Owns and maintains the design, components, and assemblies with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) techniques, which are used to minimize product cost through design and process improvements. This will include creation of specifications, preliminary design reviews, and critical design reviews. Creation of the electrical system test requirements Determines ideal component and wire harness design to ensure overall design, performance, and cost conformance. Determines nature and type of CAD models, detail drawings, and analysis required to support the above and supervises their release through the release cycle. Generates concept sketches on paper as well as detailed part designs model and drawing using Creo. Leads and participates in design reviews on projects to ensure adequate input and involvement from all interested groups. Evaluates designs using engineering calculations, principles of material behavior and design analysis tools for DTC and DFM. Uses design for manufacture principles when designing parts and assemblies
