Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Product Design Development Manager. Responsibilities include overseeing and managing the product lifecycle from conception to production, developing and refining product designs, and leading product management strategies. The role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project completion and aligning product development with business goals. Additional duties include overseeing project management tasks, ensuring product quality standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and Product Development processes
• Strong capabilities in mechanical, electronics, and electro-mechanical product design and development.
• Proven skills in Product Management and strategic planning
• Expertise in Project Management, with the ability to manage timelines and collaborate across teams
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills
• Need solid experience leading a team of mechanical and electronics engineers
• Knowledge of industry standards and quality systems such as ISO 9001:2015 and IATF16949
• Knowledge in functional safety ISO26262
• Bachelor’s degree in ECE or Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or Mechatronics; advanced degree preferred
• Previous experience in motion control systems or manufacturing environments is an asset
