Product Advocate

Key Responsibilities: - Proactively identify and engage high-value free-tier users (PQLs) for potential conversion, offering hands-on guidance and resources. - Walk prospects through product capabilities, facilitate proof-of-concepts, and address technical queries to expedite time-to-value. - Collaborate with growth and sales teams to transition users from free to paid plans by showcasing how Kong Konnect addresses their requirements. - Gather and communicate structured feedback from prospects and customers to influence product roadmap priorities. - Develop and enhance outreach scripts, demo flows, and objection-handling guides to streamline technical conversations. - Ensure smooth handoffs from PLG-driven users to sales-assisted deals, providing comprehensive context to account teams. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 3 years experience in technical sales, sales engineering, developer advocacy, or product specialist roles. - Proficiency with APIs, developer tools, and cloud-native concepts, with the ability to articulate technical features in terms of business value. - Demonstrated success in influencing technical buyers, conducting product demos, and managing multiple concurrent conversations. - Enjoy customer-facing interactions and adept at adapting communication styles for technical users and business stakeholders. - Proactive and data-driven approach to analyze product usage data, identify patterns, and prioritize outreach efforts. - Bonus: Experience with API gateways, Kubernetes, service mesh, or related infrastructure products.
