Job Description

The procurement specialist plays a crucial role in the organization's supply chain management by ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and managing vendor relationships to optimize overall procurement performance. You will develop and implement procurement strategies to support organizational goals, conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and trends, negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, and manage vendor relationships and performance to ensure quality and timely delivery. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements is essential, along with overseeing the procurement process from requisition to receipt of goods/services. Analyzing procurement data and providing insights for decision-making, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations, and optimizing procurement operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency are key responsibilities. Additionally, you will participate in supplier evaluations and audits. The required qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, proven experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar procurement role, strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices, excellent negotiation and contract management skills, proficiency in using procurement software and systems, ability to analyze complex data and make strategic procurement decisions, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, understanding of risk management and mitigation in procurement. Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus. Skills required for this role include negotiation, supply chain management, vendor management, analytical skills, and contract management.,
