Procurement Manager/Purchase Manager

Position Title:

Role & Responsibilities

• Float enquiries to identified vendors and collect

  technical data sheets, drawings, BOM, GIPs supply references, and price schedules

• Prepare

  techno-commercial comparative statements

  of vendors and release purchase orders (POs).
• Follow up with vendors for

  material dispatch

  as per the agreed delivery schedule.
• Monitor usage of contracts regularly and

  renegotiate amendments

  where necessary to ensure maximum value.
• Coordinate with the Project Team to obtain

  material indents in advance

  before the completion of existing stock, considering material priorities.
• Collaborate with

  business units, stakeholders, and vendors

  to achieve organizational goals and operational requirements.
• Create and implement

  strategic sourcing levers

  across spend categories.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a

  high-performing procurement team

  by setting vision, building trust, and ensuring best practices.
• Devise and execute

  fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies

  , building a culture of sustainable procurement savings as per project timelines.
• Ensure

  smooth functioning of supply chain activities

  across the Source-to-Pay cycle, handling all procurement operations efficiently.
• Identify, evaluate, and build strong, long-term relationships with

  reliable suppliers and subcontractors

  for civil construction materials.
• Conduct

  regular assessments

  of supplier performance using key criteria such as

  cost, quality, delivery timelines, and service levels

• Negotiate and finalize contracts to

  secure optimal terms

  , ensuring that suppliers consistently meet agreed standards and contractual obligations.
• Monitor and maintain

  optimal inventory levels

  of civil construction materials to meet project requirements without causing overstock or shortages.
• Collaborate with project managers to

  forecast material needs

  efficient inventory control systems

  to accurately track material usage, reduce wastage, and ensure cost-effective operations.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5–8 years of proven experience in

  procurement, sourcing, or supply chain

  roles.
• Prior

  Mining and Infrastructure sector

  experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
