Principal Solution Architect - Java

Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science,Information Technology, or a related field.

Job Description:

Collaborate withclients to assess their Java application landscape and identify modernisationopportunities.

Leverage yourtechnical expertise in Java technologies, cloud platforms (AWS), andcontainerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) to design and propose cloud-native Javasolutions leveraging modern frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) thataddress customer requirements.

Develop andpresent compelling modernisation roadmaps that align with cloud migrationstrategies (AWS, Azure,GCP).

Educate customerteams on the benefits of cloud platforms and modern software developmentpractices (DevOps), translating complex technical concepts into clear andconcise language.

Lead the design,development, and implementation of cloud-native Java solutions for customerapplication modernisation projects, potentially leveraging Python or NodeJSscripting to streamline processes.

Stay up-to-datewith the latest trends and architectures in the Java ecosystem, includingmicroservices, cloud-native application development (CNAD), containerisation,and DevOps practices.

Workcollaboratively with customer development teams to ensure successfulapplication deployments and ongoing support.

Champion bestpractices for cloud deployment, scalability, and agility.

Documenttechnical designs, architecture decisions, API specifications, and clouddeployment strategies

Troubleshoot andresolve complex technical issues related to Java applications, clouddeployments, and scripting integrations (Python or NodeJS).

Required Skill Set andExperience:

Proven experiencedesigning, developing, and implementing cloud-native Java applications

In-depthknowledge of Java (JEE, Spring, etc.), containerisation technologies (Docker,Kubernetes), and cloud-native architectures

Experience with amajor cloud platform like AWS (certification a plus).

Experience withObservability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, ELK Stack)

Knowledge ofREST/Http API design, development & best practices

Strong experienceon Event-driven microservices design & development (also with tools likeKafka, AWS MSK, etc)

Stay up-to-datewith the latest trends in the Java ecosystem (e.g., reactive programming, cloudintegration).

Experience withOracle & SQL Server and other database technologies, with an understandingof cloud-based database solutions

Working knowledge of open-source technologiesrelevant to cloud-native application development and Java integration .

Proficiency ineither Python or NodeJS scripting (familiarity with relevantframeworks/libraries a plus)

Strong communication, presentation, andinterpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers at all levels

Experienceworking in a customer-facing role and managing client expectations

Excellentproblem-solving and analytical skills
