Design/Lead solutions that incorporate both functional and generic software requirements related to scale, performance, usability and maintainability.

Develop solution level design/architecture for complex features with cross-functional implications. Architecture should be flexible, modular, forward looking.
Define/Drive Test strategy to qualify the solution end to end
Establish technical best practices and work on an ongoing basis with the team members for adoption of best practices via reviews, etc.
Be responsible for the quality/integrity/usability of the product
Identify and drive innovative/unique solutions to improve product performance and capability
Solve unique and complex problems at a solution/end-to-end use case level, that have a broad impact on the business
Lead others to develop innovative solutions to unique and complex problems at a solution level
Analyze product quality metrics and Identify trends in product/feature quality that requires review/action
Collaborate with Architects and Product Managers to assess and establish the right roadmap and plans
Be responsible for decomposition of Market requirements to technical requirements at a solution level across products
Provide solution level expertise to teams across the organization
Proactively collaborate with leaders across domains to resolve roadblocks and interdependencies at a solution level
Technically lead project teams to achieve milestones and objectives
Actively front-end customers for key solution and use case deployments
Develop depth and specialized expertise at solution level across products/domains
Enable team to stay current on industry best practices of software development
Assist in hiring the right skills as needed for the organization

The Skills You Bring

Excellent programming skills in one or more of (C/C++, Python, Java, Go or similar languages)
Scripting Skills (Shell, Ruby, or, Bash, etc.)
Experience using git/github for version control
Strong grasp on networking concepts and protocols
Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
Extensive experience with Software Architecture, Design, Coding, Testing, Documentation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter attitude and ability to make decisions independently

Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following domains:

Working experience with Unix, Linux or RTOS
Strong object-oriented design skills
Strong experience in SQL and database management
Strong experience in Web Services technologies
Working experience in Linux system configuration, Network Functions Virtualization
Good knowledge of DPDK & drivers
Well versed with 3gpp standards
Good knowledge of Open protocol standards such as Diameter and/or REST interfaces
Hands-on knowledge of data modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data science techniques, including the majority of the following topics: clustering, linear regression, classification, decision trees, ensemble methods, boosting, cross validation, model evaluation, feature extraction and selection, hyper-parameter tuning is an Asset

Debugging and troubleshooting problems in test and in production
Experience with GDB, Wireshark and similar industry standards aid

Desired

Experience of technically leading a small group of engineers successfully
Working experience in designing & developing Ux/UI
Working experience with Kafka, Vertica DB
Experience working with Telecom domain would be added advantage
Experience of working in a collaborative mode across multiple time zones and across cultures would be an added advantage
