Description
As a Principal Scientist in Nutraceutical Product Development, you will play a key role in leading the product development process from concept to market launch. Your responsibilities will include the following: - Lead formulation development of nutraceutical products such as Tablets, Capsules, Powders, Effervescent, Liquids, and Diskettes. - Manage end-to-end product development, including formulation trials, stability studies, and packaging evaluation. - Conduct market research and ingredient benchmarking to support innovation, optimize formulations, and facilitate new product launches. - Perform pilot trials, optimize formulations, and ensure scale-up feasibility for commercial batches. You should have a Masters or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Technology, Biochemistry, or a related field. With 15+ years of experience in the Pharma/Nutraceutical Industry and a minimum of 5+ years dedicated to Nutraceuticals, you are expected to have a deep understanding of international regulatory standards and experience with scale-up and technology transfer. Additionally, you will be required to: - Develop innovative nutraceutical products by integrating a deep understanding of functional ingredients, excipients, and dosage forms. - Drive technology transfer to production, including detailed documentation, process support, and troubleshooting during scale-up. - Ensure formulations meet safety, efficacy, and regulatory standards such as FSSAI, AYUSH, USFDA, EFSA, and other international guidelines. - Work collaboratively with QA, QC, Production, Purchase, Regulatory, and Marketing teams to support production troubleshooting and process optimization. - Analyse product samples for quality, stability, and compliance and conduct sensory evaluations, sensory panel testing, and consumer acceptance studies. - Explore new ingredients, technologies, and delivery formats through research to support innovation and product differentiation.
