Amazon's Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) Inventory Optimization team seeks a Principal PM-T with proven ability to influence across multiple organizations Over the last 20 years, the share of physical gross merchandise sales sold on Amazon by third-party Sellers has grown from 3% to over 60% in 2023 With over 2 million Sellers in multiple countries listing their products for sale on the Amazon Marketplace, these Sellers are increasingly critical to delivering on Amazons vision of offering the Earths largest selection and lowest prices, Third-party sellers are kicking our first party butt Badly And its a high bar too because our first-party business has grown dramatically over that period, from $1 6 billion in 1999 to $117 billion this past year The compound annual growth rate for our first-party business in that time period is 25% But in that same time, third-party sales have grown from $0 1 billion to $160 billion a compound annual growth rate of 52% To provide an external benchmark, eBays gross merchandise sales in that period have grown at a compound rate of 20%, from $2 8 billion to $95 billion Why did independent sellers do so much better selling on Amazon than they did on other public seller platformsAnd why were independent sellers able to grow so much faster than Amazons own highly organized first-party sales organizationThere isnt one answer, but we do know one extremely important part of the answer: We helped independent sellers compete against our first-party business by investing in and offering them the very best selling tools we could imagine and build There are many such tools, including tools that help sellers manage inventory, process payments, track shipments, create reports, and sell across borders and were inventing more every year But of great importance are Fulfillment by Amazon and the Prime membership program In combination, these two programs meaningfully improved the customer experience of buying from independent sellers Jeff Bezos, 2018 Letter to Shareholders You will join a dynamic team at the forefront of this vision, to grow and optimize our suite of Inventory Optimization solutions creating a richer end-to-end Seller Experience (SX) while improving FBA profitability, Responsibilities This is a highly visible role that requires partnering with 3P Seller business teams, Seller Services, Operations, and Finance teams to impact both Amazons top and bottom line As a member of the FBA Inventory team, you will play a key role in shaping Amazons FBA business with the following product management and leadership responsibilities: Own a portfolio of seller-facing management tools, Collaborate with scientists, engineers, product managers as well as operations, user experience, and seller support to create product vision and roadmap for tools used by third party sellers, We are looking for a Principal Product Manager-Tech who is highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, and team-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills to drive decisions at the senior executive level A successful candidate should thrive in a collaborative, creative, and fast-paced environment with a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results, Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product Experience technical product management Preferred Qualifications Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, amazon jobs / content / en / how-we-hire / accommodations for more information If the country/region youre applying in isnt listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner, Company ADCI Karnataka Job ID: A3037462 Show
