About the Role

Xactly’s AI Labs is building the next generation of intelligent agents and AI-powered experiences across our Sales Performance Management suite. We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who will be the foundational DS member of the team in India. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys full ownership, and can translate high-level business goals into data-driven solutions with minimal supervision.

You will work directly with AI Labs leadership to convert 15+ years of incentive compensation, quota, and performance data into actionable insights, models, and features that power our AI agents (Plan Config Agent, Dispute Agent, Data Exploration Assistant, etc.). Your work will materially shape how Xactly customers perceive value from AI.

What You Bring

• 5–7+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, applied ML, or advanced analytics.
• Proven ability to independently define problems, choose appropriate methods, and deliver measurable business impact.
• Strong experience with exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and statistical modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn; PySpark or similar is a plus).
• Experience working with large historical datasets; exposure to time-series, forecasting, or behavioral modeling is preferred.
• Experience building interpretable scoring systems, risk models, or insights frameworks that are used by non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills: able to explain complex analysis in simple terms for product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Comfort operating as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with minimal supervision.
• Experience in incentive compensation, HR analytics, sales analytics, or financial data is a plus but not required.
